Creative mountain classes

You can put together a program, using the following elements

A mountain class starts when the participants get on the autobus!

Our destination Ollomont is situated at only 850 km from Brussels, and the fastest and most comfortable way to get there is to travel using the national roads, crossing the most beautiful landscapes in France and Switzerland while avoiding the busy international highways. After maximally 15 hours (including 3 mandatory stops) we arrive in Gran Baita.

Our road leads past Brussels (departure is at 6 am), Luxembourg, Metz, Nancy, Epinal (Vosges), Besançon, Pontarlier (Jura), Vallorbe (Swiss border), Lac de Leman past Geneva , Martigny, the tunnel of the Gran San Bernardino, en eventually arrival in Ollomont around 8 pm.

Visit to the Fontina cheese museum, again at walking distance from Gran Baita. In the accessible old copper mines, we are shown the production process of this famous Italian cheese.

After lunch, we can visit the indoor climbing hall, with a local guide who shows us the basic technical tricks of alpinism. Of we prefer to climb outdoors on the  real rocks on the other side of the valley.
